HOW DO I REGISTER FOR ONSITE OR REMOTE LAB ACCESS
All new and returning guests requesting onsite or remote access to Jefferson Lab are required to register in the Electronic Access Registration System (EARS).
The JLab Access Portal is the central location for managing the registration process for all new and returning guests to Jefferson Lab.
Steps For Access Registration
The registration process includes the following steps.
Once, all forms on your unique registration checklist are completed, submitted, approved and uploaded to the system, you will receive an approval email. All remote users will be contacted by the JLab Computer Center to complete your computer account request requirements and receive a password for your JLab account.
Refer all questions to your JLab Host.
Step 1 Communicate with your JLab Host: |
Communicate with your JLab host to receive up to date information/instructions on how to currently access the Lab either onsite or remotely. |
Step 2 Register in EARS |
Complete and submit all required forms and documentation provided in your unique registration checklist. Begin this process at the following link: https://misportal.jlab.org/jlabAccess/. |
Step 3 Upload ID Required Documents |
Upload all required ID Documents https://www.jlab.org/human_resources/jris/id from the link in your unique registration checklist. |
Step 4 Complete Required Training |
Complete all required training listed in your unique registration checklist. |
Step 5 Completion of Registration Process |
Your unique registration will be sent to your host for approval and other lab approvals, if applicable. Once, all approvals are attained, the registration is uploaded to the system and you will receive the email that your access request has been approved. You can then make an appointment with the badging office at fso@jlab.org if needed to come onsite or the Computer Center will contact you in a few days regarding your JLab computer account. |
