All guests requesting access to JLab must upload a valid Government issued photo ID Document to electronic registration checklist and present for verification upon arrival. Failure to provide the essential site ID Documents will result in denial of access and non-issuance of a JLab photo identification access badge or computer account.
Beginning May 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will officially begin enforcing the REAL ID Act of 2005. This means that a traditional driver’s license will no longer be accepted through airport security and all Americans will be required to present REAL ID-compliant identification to go through airport security and enter certain federal facilities. As a federal facility Jefferson Lab must comply with this requirement.
