JLab provides a pair of redundant Globus servers that facilitate off-site file transfers for Experimental Physics and LQCD data. It is not intended for file movement from centrally provided CUE areas such as /home or /group.
Official Globus documentation is available at https://docs.globus.org/how-to/get-started/
1. Visit www.globus.org and click "Login" at the top of the page. On the Globus login page, choose "Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility" as the organization provider using CILOGON. When you find it, click "Continue." You will be redirected to your CUE login page. Use your JLab username and password to login.
2. Navigate to file manager and search for the Jefferson Lab endpoints. You can do this by typing "jlab" in the collection field. It will populate the list of endpoints. The two identical endpoints are:
Command line usage may be accessed: https://docs.globus.org/cli/
Computing environment and path | Globus path |
LQCD /work | /lqcd/work |
LQCD /volatile | /lqcd/volatile |
LQCD /cache | /lqcd/cache |
FARM /work | /expphy/work |
FARM /volatile | /expphy/volatile |
FARM /cache | /expphy/cache |
NOTE: When accessing QCD /work may require manually entered path to the desired directory. It will not auto populate all of the folders or files. It will be viewable upon accessing that directory.
Whitelisting endpoints:
If you have a need to whitelist the Globus endpoints then add the following information to your whitelist.
jlab#gw1 192.70.245.27
jlab#gw2 192.70.245.28
